Arrival, Dismissal, and Before/After Care

MORNING ARRIVAL

NEW IN 2025 – UPDATED START TIME:

All students should arrive by 8:00 AM.  Students will be marked late after this time.  Being on time helps students start the day calmly, ensures they don’t miss valuable instruction, and teaches responsibilty and good habits that will benefit them for years to come.  Please remember that a driver must come into the office to provide a reason for the student’s lateness.

PreK students will be dropped off, out front, at the end of the driveway by the playground. There will be teachers there to guide them in.

K-8th grade students will enter using the Parish Center doors on the back parking lot. Teachers will be on duty to assist.

NO ONE MAY EXIT THEIR CAR UNTIL THEY ARE ADVISED TO DO SO.

How will morning arrival be handled?

Morning arrival will take place according to protocol listed above.  Cars will begin arriving in the back parking lot at 7:45-8:05 AM.  Students will report directly to their classroom.

DISMISSAL

Pre-K will dismiss from the side playground doors (same doors they entered in the morning.)

Grades K-8 will dismiss from the back parking lot.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Students picked up after 3:10 PM will be taken to after-care.  Parents shoudl drive to the playground side of the school and enter through the side basement door to pick up their child.

How will afternoon dismissal be handled?

Dismissal will begin for preschool starting at 2:50 PM and continuing through to 3:10 PM for all other grades.  Parents are asked to wait for their students, according to social distance guidelines, and move directly to their cars once students are dismissed.

Will the Extended Care be available to school families?

The school’s Before and After School program is available to families on a limited basis and will adhere to the procedures and guidelines provided by the Maryland Office of Child Care.
